The Tenuta dei Re winery has been producing grapes and fine wines since 1970

Our estate is located in Castagnole Monferrato in the province of Asti, at the heart of one of the most prestigious wine-growing areas in the north of Italy.
The winery lies in the production area for Ruchè, a wine shrouded in legend – its extraordinary qualities are said to have proved decisive in the Lombard victory over the Franks at the battle of Refrancore.
Aside from the tales surrounding its origins, the unique palate, and rich colour and bouquet of this wine makes it one of the gems of Piedmontese DOC wine production.

In this rural location, at the heart of a natural amphitheatre of 10 hectares of superb south-facing vineyards, with the protection of the surrounding hills, Tenuta dei Re produces outstanding quality grapes which it makes into three wines with DOC status (controlled denomination of origin): Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato, Grignolino d’Asti and Barbera d’Asti.

Our daily decisions are guided by our attention to the quality of life – ours and that of our children.
We derive great pleasure from making high quality products, safe in the knowledge that we have considered all aspects pertaining to environmental and social harmony, with particular attention to health and well-being.

With the frenetic pace of life today, we believe that being able to offer people time out to enjoy a good glass of wine is extremely rewarding.

Our values have always revolved around our love for the land, and our desire to plant and grow natural products.

Our doors are always open, and we are happy to show you round our vineyards and wine cellars: seeing things first hand and tasting in person are the best way to discover our approach to wine-making.
